Kristina’s Missions Story

At the age of 8, Kristina went on her first missions trip to Mexico and God planted a seed for missions from there. In Junior High, she was able to go and serve at a YWAM Base in California two years in a row for Spring Break. From those experiences, she heard about YWAM’s Discipleship Training School (DTS) and knew she wanted to complete one.

Her heart continued to grow for missions as she got older as she found ways to support children around the world and keep in touch with a few missionaries. In college, she attended a Christian and Missionary Alliance church where she became more familiar with missions.

Upon graduating with her Associate’s Degree, Kristina knew that it was the perfect time to complete a DTS. She began praying about it and doing research for it when God led her to a Children and Youth based DTS in Constanta, Romania.

During her DTS, God began to expand her heart for Romania and being in full time missions. She was able to get involved with a few local ministries during her time overseas and God stirred her heart. From being involved with a Day Camp in the Community Transformation ministry to joining a few local outreach nights for Summer Nightlife Outreach, God continued speaking.

Upon completing her DTS in December, God continued to tug on her heart for Romania and the community in Constanta. She received many confirmations and acted upon them leaving the States in February to join staff at YWAM Constanta in March of 2020 (prior to lockdown and quarantine restrictions).

Kristina originally came to staff the DTS set to start in March but God had other plans for her time in Constanta. Since being there, she is now involved with Summer Nightlife Outreach, Community Transformation and Communications.
